Auckland Individual Tutoring – Part 1
An individual tutor supports students to improve their knowledge of legal concepts and develop legal writing skills. Tutors vary their approach to suit the learning style and strengths of each student, ensuring that they develop vital skills early in their law school journey.
24-36 hours of personalised individual tutoring valid for at least one paper out of Law 121, 131, and 141

Students who complete this package in first year are eligible for our second year program, including a legal internship
Part 1 Group Tutoring
Group tutors will cover content from LAW121, LAW131 and LAW141. Tutors focus on the most challenging content, concepts and skills while providing holistic support for Part I Law students.
Regular group tutorials (48h total) covering the previous week’s lecture content and legal writing skills
Participate in group discussions, being prepared to argue for and against key propositions of law
Up to date with the latest curriculum as covered by the University
Tutorials occur on Sunday evenings at 6pm, over Zoom
Tutorials are recorded and made available to students via our website 24/7
Part 2 Group Tutoring
Group tutors will cover content from LAW 201, 211, 231, 241, and 298. Tutors focus on practical writing skills, including formatting, how to effectively structure legal arguments, and how to write like an expert law student. This program is aimed at supporting part 2 students who are already at a reasonably high standard.
Regular group tutorials (24h total) prior to all key assessments in all papers covered
Includes an intensive mooting workshop prior to compulsory moots in Criminal Law and torts
Up to date with the latest curriculum as covered by the University
Tutorials occur on Thursday evenings at 6pm, over Zoom
Tutorials are recorded and made available to students via our website 24/7
